Composer Thaman recently confirmed his involvement in the highly anticipated film 'Pushpa 2: The Rule', starring
Allu Arjun and directed by
Sukumar. At an event in Hyderabad, Thaman clarified that while he is part of the film, he is not responsible for composing the entire background score. He also expressed excitement after watching the film's output.
During the title and teaser launch of Balakrishna's 'Daaku Maharaaj', Thaman addressed the reports of his role in 'Pushpa 2'. He mentioned that multiple music directors are contributing to the film, indicating that
Devi Sri Prasad, who composed the music for the first part, will only handle the songs for this sequel.
He said, "I'm only a part of the film. I am not composing for the entire film. Many other directors are also working on the film. I watched the output and it was fantastic. It gave me such a high."
Meanwhile, Thaman, along with Sam CS and Ajaneesh Loknath, will be responsible for the background score.
Thaman was also questioned about his commitments for two films set to release during the Sankranti festival: Ram Charan's 'Game Changer', and Balakrishna's 'Daaku Maharaaj'. He said, "I am not taking responsibility for the entire film. I'm just a part of the film. I took this as a challenge, but I have not taken up the entire film."
'Pushpa 2: The Rule' is scheduled to release in theatres on December 5, 2024, and features a star-studded cast including
Rashmika Mandanna and
Fahadh Faasil alongside Allu Arjun.
