CM has always opposed attempts to tarnish Malappuram’s image: M B Rajesh

T'puram: Local self-govt minister M B Rajesh said the chief minister did not speak about Malappuram specifically, but only mentioned the use of smuggled gold. Rajesh said the CM was only opposing smuggling. Those who blame any district while opposing smuggling are the ones insulting the district for narrow political gains. Pinarayi Vijayan and the CPM have always opposed attempts to tarnish Malappuram's reputation, Rajesh said.
He said the CPM has never justified or protected Anvar. The Nilambur MLA, who was an antagonist, has now become a media star. The media will carry anyone on their shoulders if they turn against the Left, Rajesh added.
