Ayodhya: The participants of the Vayu Veer Vijeta car rally, organised by the
Indian Air Force, visited prominent religious places to offer prayers during their brief halt in
Ayodhya on their way to
Gorakhpur on Saturday.
The 7,000 km rally, with 30 participants including several high-ranking Air Force and Army officers who are weaving a new saga of public outreach, began at Thoise, one of the highest altitude airbases in the world, situated at an elevation of 3,068 metres, and will culminate in Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh.
Earlier, the rally received a warm welcome at Air Force Station Bakshi Ka Talab in Lucknow and is expected to leave for Darbhanga from Gorakhpur.
During the rally's 16 scheduled halts, participants will engage with students and the public, creating a dialogue around the IAF's achievements and encouraging youth to consider a future in the armed forces.
Organised in collaboration with the Uttarakhand War Memorial veterans and led by the IAF's Adventure Cell, this rally is designed to instill a sense of national pride and gratitude for the air warriors who protect our nation and is expected to culminate in Tawang on October 29.
