SEASONAL, SUSTAINABLE, LOCAL FLOWERS

On my small urban farm in downtown Monterey, I grow specialty cut flowers that you won’t find at a traditional florist or grocery store, always following sustainable, regenerative farming methods.

I weave these gorgeous, locally grown flowers into nature-inspired bouquets, arrangements, and wedding florals.

Each of my designs is a unique snapshot of season and place, with a touch of whimsy.

I love to design flowers for intimate weddings and events on the Monterey Peninsula, including Carmel-by-the-Sea and Big Sur.

In everything I do, I aim to leave my little patch of earth better than I found it while bringing joy and beauty to my community.

FARM UPDATE: SEPTEMBER

September already! In Monterey, there’s somehow a feeling of fall in the air, with shortening days and cooler nights, at the same time as we finally enjoy our summer weather.

The beds are full of dahlias, zinnias, rudbeckia, and lisianthus, along with the adorable little puffs of color that are gomphrena, and my weekends are full of weddings!

I’ve now started the seeds for almost all of next year’s early spring flowers, most of which will be planted in the ground and wait out the winter in their beds, growing strong roots.

Apart from bulbs, there’s one last category I’m waiting a little longer to plant. Those are the California native seeds – I have a dozen new native wildflower species to experiment with this year, but they will sprout naturally outdoors when the rainy season begins.
