Neil Richard Flynn is an American actor who was born on November 13, 1960, in Chicago, Illinois. He is of Irish descent and was raised in a devout Catholic household. He is best known in the television show Scrubs. He attended Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois, where he acted in plays and was part of the speech team. He also appeared in other shows such as Boston Public, Smallville, and Joey. In 2018, Flynn played Fred on the NBC sitcom Abby's.
