The second season of The Mandalorian was confirmed on July 12, 2019. It will consist of eight episodes. It debuted with "Chapter 9: The Marshal" on October 30, 2020 on Disney+, and concluded with "Chapter 16: The Rescue" on December 18, 2020.
Premise[]
The Mandalorian and the Child continue their journey, facing enemies and rallying allies as they make their way through a dangerous galaxy in the tumultuous era after the collapse of the Galactic Empire.
Development[]
On July 12, 2019, prior to the release of the first season of The Mandalorian, Jon Favreau confirmed that he was in the midst of writing the second season.
Shooting commenced in October 2019, and production has since reached completion.
On September 15, 2020, an official trailer and poster were released.
Release[]
On October 30, 2020, the first episode of the second season was released on Disney+. The season concluded with the release of the eighth and final episode on December 18, 2020.
