Melissa was a member of the Washington Liberation Front (WLF) in The Last of Us Part II. She was mentioned in a letter which Ellie found.[1]

Melissa was friends with Ji-So Huang and her companions Andre Dominguez, Chris Marsh and Adam Peters. Ji-So and the others wished to leave the WLF because they feared the group's leader, Isaac Dixon. She asked Melissa to join them, writing a note for her to find.[2] Isaac subsequently ordered their capture and execution.[3]
However, Melissa never joined the group, instead opting to stay with the WLF. Ellie can find a note mentioning Melissa while searching for Nora Harris in Seattle.[1]
