Job Summary

A QS Engineer is required to work on a 3-month renewable contract with the possibility of extension. The successful candidate will be responsible for cost planning and commercial management throughout the project lifecycle, including budgeting, cash flow, and cost control, claims processing, contract payments, and final account settlement.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement cost plans and manage commercial aspects of projects from inception to completion.
• Conduct budgeting, cash flow, and cost control analysis, process claims, and settle final accounts.
• Monitor design and/or construction changes and adjust budget estimates accordingly.
• Negotiate construction contracts and resolve contractual issues.
• Evaluate project risks and develop financial management strategies.
• Maintain professional relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure all stakeholders understand and comply with contractual obligations.
• Clarify cost estimates, financial implications, and contractual obligations to all parties involved.

Requirements

This role requires strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to negotiate contracts and resolve complex issues. The ideal candidate will have experience in cost planning, commercial management, and risk assessment.

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum
