Hello All, I have retention label created in M365 compliance centre, which appears as document metadata (As expected) in the document library as shown below One of the objectives is that the below retention label needs to appear at a folder level (one level up), rather than at document level. The desired outcome is that once this 3 years has lapsed, the folder should NOT be automatically deleted. It should be manually actioned by user (and the documents underneath the folder) When I created this retention label, here are the sequence of screens I went through ( I did not see the option that says "do nothing") when retention period lapses here is the retention period setting screen Here is the screenshot below that I have question about. Where is the option that says "dont do anything" after retention period lapses? It seems like I dont have that option here (Is it a setting that I need to enable somewhere?) . My goal is to have control over manually deleting documents (while respecting retention policies) without automatic deletion occuring. So my 2 questions here in this post are : 1) How do I apply this retention label to a folder (instead of individual document level)? 2) In the last screenshot above, how do I enable the option to "not do anything" (After retention period lapses)?5Views0likes0CommentsOutlook
My setup: Home user, Intel Gen12, Windows11 Pro. My Outlook is configured for local storage (POP3). No Sharepoint, no Microsoft Teams, not linked to my iPhone.Very simple setup that I have used for years, apart from having auto update enabled in Windows. I am trying to load an alternate older .pst file that is stored locally on the same HDD. I go to File, Account settings, and try to load the required .pst. I get the error message,"You cannot use an Internet address here. Enter a path that points to a location on your computer or on the network." This happens as I try to browse to a local file. As soon as I try to access my 😧 data drive I get the nonsensical error. It is not an internet address. Does anyone know what is wrong?542Views0likes5CommentsSeeking Advice: Best Way to Store and Display One-Page Case Studies in SharePoint
Hi SharePoint Community, I’m currently working on a project to better organize and display a collection of one-page PowerPoint case studies. Right now, I have hundreds of one-pager slides stored in a single PowerPoint document, but I’d like to transition these into SharePoint to make them easier to search, view, and share. Here’s what I’m looking to achieve: Better Display: A user-friendly way to browse and view individual slides (or case studies) directly in SharePoint, without needing to open the full PowerPoint document. Enhanced Searchability: How can I use Metadata effectively to tag these case studies and enable better search functionality? I want users to be able to filter or search by key attributes like topic, industry, or key outcomes. If anyone has experience with similar use cases or ideas on how best to structure this, I’d love to hear your thoughts! Specific tips, tools, or SharePoint features that have worked for you would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help!40Views1like1CommentMicrosoft 365 Champions community call | October 2024 | PM
