成田山新勝寺へ向かう道中、次に私達の足を止めたのは此方。やはり和菓子は素通り出来ません。
1845年創業、江戸時代から続く、古き良きお団子屋さんで、現在6代目店主が仕切っております。
老舗といっても、堅苦しい雰囲気はなく、気軽にお茶休憩に立ち寄れる、気さくなお店です。
土間とちゃぶ台という昭和レトロな店内で、テーブル席もあり、老若男女問わず寛いでいます。
此方の看板商品はなんといっても、やきだんご&あんだんご。早朝5時から仕込み始め、臼と杵を
使ってお餅をつき、その日の分をその日に作るのが基本です。一切機械に頼らず、昔からの製法を
引き継がれています。そしてお団子は作り置きせず、注文を受けてから焼く為、数分かかります。
満席でお待ちのお客様も多かった為、持ち帰り注文だけして、帰り際に受け取ることにしました。
職場へのお土産にもするつもりで、やきだんご・あんだんご・くず餅を購入しましたが、本来で
あれば、当日の柔らかいうちに渡したかったけれど、なんとか翌日でも、可能な範囲内でした。
此方のみたらしは、どちらかというと、甘味よりも醤油の塩味の方が強めで、甘党でない人には
うってつけです。とても食べやすく後引く美味しさ。餡子は、もちろん自家製で3時間煮込み
昔ながらのほっこりしたお味で、私の大好きな伊勢の赤福に似た感じで、串に刺さっていません。
くず餅は1箱に3枚入っており、黒蜜ときなこが付いています。写真の3枚目が4皿分とれます。
此方も、お団子同様に、出来れば当日中か翌日迄にお召しあがりで、冷蔵庫に入れず保存します。
コンビニのレジ横の100円のお団子でも、満足できてしまう私ですが、やはり違いは明らかです。
添加物等一切不使用ですから、すぐ傷んでしまいますが、出来立ての美味しさには敵いませんね。
