Shuffle or repeat songs

When using the YouTube Music app, you can control your listening experience by shuffling a playlist or repeating a song.

Shuffle songs in an album, playlist, album, or artist page

From an album:

  1. Click an album.
  2. Click Menu .
  3. Click Shuffle play .

From a playlist or artist page:

  1. Click any playlist or artist page.
  2. Click Menu .
  3. Click Shuffle play .

Shuffle a playlist or album while listening

To shuffle songs while listening to a song on your album or playlist, click Shuffle  in the bottom right corner.

Shuffle songs and albums in Library

To shuffle all of your music:
  1. Sign in to YouTube Music.
  2. Go to your Library .
  3. Select Songs.
  4. Click Shuffle all .
Songs you like and songs you add to your library will appear under the Songs page. These songs can also be included in your shuffle mix.
If you’ve added an album to your YouTube Music library, each individual song within that album will also appear under the Songs page. These songs can also be included in your shuffle mix.
When you sync your device files with YouTube Music, they’ll play alongside your YouTube Music library when you shuffle your songs.

To repeat a song, album, or playlist

To repeat the current song or video, click Repeat  until the number 1 appears in the middle.

If you’re listening to a playlist or album, you can click Repeat  until it turns white to repeat the entire playlist or album.

If you’ve selected a specific song, video, artist shuffle, or radio, you can only repeat the song or video currently playing.
