Upload 180- or 360-degree videos

YouTube supports uploading and playback of 180° or 360° spherical videos on computers in Chrome, Firefox, MS Edge, and Opera browsers.

To watch 180° or  360° videos, you need the latest version of Chrome, Opera, Firefox, or MS Edge. On mobile devices, use the latest version of the YouTube app.
Step 1: Create the video
  1. Stitch the file using either stitching software that comes with the camera or separate 180° or 360° stitching software.
  2. Use editing software to ensure the sequence settings are in VR and match your source footage.

Step 2: Prepare for upload

To upload a 180° or 360°  video file, you'll need to modify the file with an app like Adobe Premiere (2019 or higher) or script before uploading. Learn more about uploading 360° or for 180° .

Step 3: Upload the file

Before publishing, you can verify that the file has 360° playback enabled by watching the video on your computer. It may take up to an hour for 360° playback to be available.

360° videos feature a pan button in the top left, and can be rotated using the WASD keys, so look for these features to confirm your video is in 360°. You can also swipe through a video by clicking and dragging through the space.
