Manage releases and update your discography

Use the Releases tab in YouTube Studio to request the removal of incorrect releases or add a missing release to your Official Artist Channel. Learn how to submit feedback below, or update your channel settings to get started.

Note: The Releases tab is only available on desktop.

Use the Releases tab

Find your discography within the "Releases" tab of YouTube Studio. To get to the Releases tab:

  1. Log in to YouTube Studio from your desktop.
  2. Go to the Content tab.
  3. Click Releases at the top of the page.

Within this tab, you can view all public releases, release dates, and explicit language tags. Click on a release to view release metadata. Under Details, you’ll find:

  • Release titles
  • Track count
  • Primary artist(s)
  • Featured artist(s)
  • Album art

You can also find track metadata within the Tracks tab of a selected release.

If a release is missing from your Official Artist channel, but available elsewhere on YouTube, report it using the Let us know link at the bottom of your Releases tab.

Release request types

Problem Definition Suggested solution
Incorrect release The release does not belong to the primary artist. Use the Releases tab to ask YouTube to remove the release. Select the option "This is not my release. Remove from channel."
Incorrect release The release may belong to the primary artist, but they do not want it to appear on their channel. Use the Releases tab to ask YouTube to remove the release. Select the option "Although this is my release, remove from channel."
Missing release Primary artist’s release is available on YouTube, but does not appear on their Official Artist Channel. Use the Releases tab to ask YouTube to add the release to your discography.

Track your requests

Once you submit your request using the Releases tab, you can track the status of your request from the Releases tab in YouTube Studio. Under the Requests column, find the status of each request:

  • Under review: YouTube is processing your request.
  • Resolved: YouTube has completed your request and updated your release metadata.

If there isn’t a status listed in this column, you don’t have an open request associated with the release.
