Use notifications for tasks

Receive notifications for Tasks

You can receive task notifications in the Google app, Google Tasks app, and Google Calendar app on your phone. If multiple apps are installed, only one app notifies you. For example, if you have the Calendar app and the Google app installed, only the Calendar or Google app notifies you.

To enable notifications from the Tasks app:

1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Tasks app .
2. Tap Account Settings.
3. Tap Notifications Tap to Enable.

If you don’t use apps regularly, some Android phones turn off or delay notifications. To keep notifications for tasks on, give the Tasks app permissions:

1. On your Android phone, open the settings app.
2. Tap Apps Special app access Alarms & Reminders.
3. In the app list, tap Tasks.
4. Turn on Allow setting alarms and reminders.
