To request an account with Google for Nonprofits or to use Google for Nonprofits program features, you must accept (1) the Google Terms of Service, and (2) these Google for Nonprofits Additional Terms of Service (the âGoogle for Nonprofits Additional Termsâ).
Please read each of these documents carefully. Together, these documents are known as the âTermsâ. They establish what you can expect from us as you use your Google for Nonprofits account and features, and what we expect from you.
If these Google for Nonprofits Additional Terms conflict with the Google Terms of Service, these Google for Nonprofits Additional Terms will govern for the Google for Nonprofits program.
Although itâs not a part of these Terms, we encourage you to read our Privacy Policy to better understand how you can update, manage, export, and delete your information.
Age and relationship
You must be above the legal age of majority in your country (or above the age of 18, whichever is higher) to have a Google for Nonprofits account.
In addition, you must be an authorized representative who is able to bind others on behalf of the entity listed in your Google for Nonprofits account and nonprofit profile.
Binding others and Administrator Privacy
If your organizationâs Google for Nonprofits account request is approved, you will become the administrator for your organizationâs Google for Nonprofits account. If you later add or approve other users to be co-administrators of your organizationâs account, you must bind those users to these Terms before adding or approving them as co-administrators. Co-administrators will have the same rights as you to control your organizationâs account, including the ability to remove you as an administrator. By agreeing to add co-administrators to your organizationâs Google for Nonprofits account you are consenting to co-administrators viewing your name and the details of your administrative actions, including, removal of co-administrators, rejection of users applying to be co-administrators and your organizationâs requests for Google products offered through Google for Nonprofits.
What we expect from you
In addition to following the basic rules of conduct in the Google Terms of Service, you must, when using your organizationâs Google for Nonprofits account and nonprofit profile, ensure:
- The information submitted in your organizationâs Google for Nonprofits request is true and correct and the content in your organizationâs nonprofit profile is correct, up to date, and complete
- Your organization does not discriminate against any person or group of people in either hiring/employment practices or in the administration of programs and services, including on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity
- Your organizationâs use of Google for Nonprofits complies with its own policies and will not negatively impact Google's current or future ability to do business with your organization
- You will not use Google for Nonprofits to (i) corruptly influence any government official to obtain or retain business or any improper advantage, (ii) gain or retain business, (iii) cause a government official to do or not do something in their official capacity or (iv) gain any other improper advantage.
Public use of your nonprofit profile
You agree that if you include content in your organizationâs nonprofit profile, the content you provide may be used in other Google products and may be publicly displayed (such as in fundraising features on YouTube).
While Google is not responsible for your nonprofit profile if you have provided information about your organization in your nonprofit profile, you understand that we have the right, but not the obligation, to moderate that content.
Other products/services
The Terms govern your use of your organizationâs Google for Nonprofits account and features (such as nonprofit profiles). Google products offered through Google for Nonprofits may require additional steps to activate, including agreeing to separate product-specific terms of service.
Google access
By participating in Google for Nonprofits or using its features, you authorize Google to access your organizationâs account, including your organizationâs nonprofit profile, to help you manage your organizationâs account and information provided about your organization.
