Sign out of Gmail

Depending on what device you use Gmail on, you can either sign out of Gmail, remove your Google Account, or switch between different accounts.

Sign out on your computer

  1. Open Gmail.
  2. In the top right, click your photo.
  3. Click Sign out.

Sign out from another device

If you forgot to sign out of your email on another computer, you can remotely sign out of Gmail:

  1. Open Gmail.
  2. In the top right, click your photo.
  3. Click Manage your Google Account.
  4. Click Security.
  5. Under "Your devices," click Manage all devices.
  6. Choose a device.
  7. Click Sign out.

Switch accounts without signing out

You can use multiple accounts on the same browser using multiple sign-ins. Then, you can switch between your accounts without signing out of either of them. Learn more about signing in to multiple accounts.
