If you ever want to stop running one or more of your ads, you can remove them. Once you remove an ad, it will no longer appear in your campaign and it canât be recovered. However, you can still review past performance of a removed ad. This article explains how to remove ads one at a time or in bulk.
How to remove an ad
- In your Google Ads account, click the Campaigns icon .
- Click the Campaigns drop down in the section menu.
- Click Ads.
- Select the checkbox next to the ad that you want to remove.
- Click Remove.
Keep in mind
Once you remove your ad, you won't be able to re-enable it. However, you can still review the performance of your removed ad by changing the âAd statusâ filter to âAllâ. Removed ads will now appear in your statistics table.
How to remove multiple ads
If you want to make changes to multiple campaigns, ads, ad groups, and more in bulk, you might want to use bulk uploads or Google Ads Editor. With either product, you can download a spreadsheet, make changes offline, then upload the changes to your account.
