Manage Family Quests

Family Quests are a fun way for kids, siblings, and parents to work together to achieve movement goals. By completing challenges, families can unlock new Fitbit Ace content and rewards, such as new items in Bit valley and games in the Fitbit Arcade. This encourages the whole family to get moving.

Family members must opt in to participate in Family Quests. New Quests are released monthly.

Enable Family Quests

You can choose to enable Family Quests through the Fitbit Ace LTE app or the Fitbit Ace LTE watch.

Your Fitbit Ace LTE software and Fitbit Ace app must be updated to their latest versions.

On the Fitbit Ace LTE app

  1. Open the Fitbit Ace LTE app .
  2. On the Home screen, tap Quest and then Get started.
  3. Select Join Family Quests.

Notes:

For iOS users, you’ll need to grant Fitbit Ace LTE access to “Motion & Fitness.”

  • Settings and then Apps and then Fitbit Ace and then turn on Motion & Fitness

For Android users, you’ll need to grant Fitbit Ace LTE access to “Physical activity”

  • Settings and then Apps and then Fitbit Ace and then Permissions and then Physical Activity and then  Tap Allow

On the Fitbit Ace LTE watch

  1. On your Fitbit Ace LTE home screen, swipe one screen left to access Daily Quests.
  2. Scroll down to the Family Quest and tap Get started.

If the option does not appear on your screen, check back later for upcoming quests. Family Quests are monthly events, but they may not always last the entire month.

Participate in Family Quests

A new Family Quest is released each month. As a Family Group, complete the monthly activity target to unlock items and rewards along the way for your child’s Fitbit Ace LTE. If there are siblings in the family with Fitbit Ace LTE and they complete the Quest together, both of them will receive items and rewards.

Tracking activity in Family Quest

Family Quests set activity targets, like target step counts. Only activity tracked through the Ace app on your phone or Fitbit Ace LTE will be counted towards the target. Syncing activity from other health apps on your phone will be supported in 2025. Steps and other activity from the Fitbit app don’t count towards your goal yet. If you don’t complete the activity target, you’ll be able to start a new quest at the beginning of each month.

If you go offline during a quest, your activity may not update immediately on your Fitbit Ace LTE. However, your device will continue tracking your activity. Your activity will be updated when you reconnect to the internet, or if you reload or reset your device.

To view your Family progress, tap on Family Quest. You’ll see the overall activity target and each member’s contribution.
