Fitbit Morning Brief Features

Key Takeaways

Key takeaway provides a personalized insight based on your daily readiness and target load.

Health Metric Alerts

This feature keeps you updated on important body measurements. Health Metrics data only appears in your Morning Brief when the data values fall outside your personal range. It includes the following metrics:

  • Breathing rate

  • Heart-rate variability (HRV)

  • Skin temperature variation

  • Oxygen saturation (SpO2)

  • Resting heart rate (RHR)

Note: The feature information and metrics provided here are not meant to diagnose or treat any medical condition and should not be used for medical purposes. They are intended to offer information to help you manage your well-being. If you have any concerns about your health, please consult a healthcare provider. In case of a medical emergency, call emergency services.

Readiness

Readiness is an indicator of how well-rested your body is and its ability to handle physical demands. This score suggests whether your body is well recovered  or if you should prioritize recovery.

Your score ranges from 1 to 100 based on your sleep, heart rate variability, and resting heart rate:

High readiness score

65 - 100

Moderate readiness score

30 - 64

Low readiness score

1 - 29

A high readiness score of 65 or higher suggests that your body is well-rested. A low readiness score of 29 or lower suggests that your body needs more rest, and you should prioritize your body's recovery through more restorative activities.

Note: Before you receive your first daily readiness score, you must consistently use your Google Pixel Watch 3 for 7 days to establish your baseline. If your readiness score is not yet available, the device will display a countdown of how many more days you need to wear the device until your score is ready.

For more information, go to What's my daily readiness score in the Fitbit app?

Sleep

Your watch automatically detects your sleep patterns when you wear it to bed. This provides you with your sleep duration, as well as a breakdown of the time you spent awake versus the time you were asleep, and a sleep score to assess your sleep quality.

Sleep score

How much you slept last night. If you’ve been experiencing poor sleep, your body might not be ready to exercise. Morning Brief will calculate a sleep score that provides insights into your sleep quality to help create a better sleep routine for a healthier sleep cycle, with a maximum score of 100.

For more information on how to set up or troubleshoot the weather forecast, go to Understand and manage your watch’s location settings.

Note: To get weather updates, you need to allow location access for the Weather app.
