Fix a declined charge for phone purchase

If you tried to pay for a phone in full when you signed up for Google Fi and your card was declined, you’ll need to update your payment info on payments.google.com within 7 days to avoid a cancellation of your order.

Update your payment info

If your card was declined, you’ll receive an email telling you that your order has been put on hold and you’ll need to update your payment info. To update it, just click the link in the email.

If you can’t locate your email, you can follow these steps:

  1. Go to payments.google.com and sign in with the account you used to sign up for Google Fi.
  2. You’ll see a notification at the top of the screen. Select “Update payment method information” and follow the steps.

Update your payment info within 7 days

To prevent your order from being canceled, you’ll need to provide valid payment information within 7 days. Once you’ve updated your payment information, you can confirm that your order is being processed by checking your pending orders or clicking the link to your online receipt in the email.
