About My Study Abroad Program
Major/Minor: Economics Major & Math Minor
Program: Yonsei International Summer School
Location: Seoul, South Korea
Email: [email protected]
Term: Summer 2023
Why did you choose to study abroad and how did you select your program?
I selected this program because I wanted to get transferable economics credit during the summer, and Yonsei University course catalog contained at least two of the core-req for my major
What did you learn about yourself?
I learned that I can not handle hot and human weather as well as I thought I could! I had to take my hand-held air fan with me everywhere I went
What is one of your favorite memories from your program?
My favorite memory is when I looked at the weather app and saw there was a 30% chance of rain. I then proceed to not take my umbrella because I think I can handle a bit of rain. I am about halfway towards my destination, when It starts pouring, heavily. I seek shelter at a nearby seven-eleven and get stuck there for the next 30 minutes.
What advice do you have for future study abroad students?
I think weighing the pros and cons of doing or not doing something can sometimes be helpful. I tend to think that I won’t know until I try/ask. Plus being in a different country comes with different opportunities!
How do you identify?
