The Livingston Daily Press & Argus is located in downtown Howell, the county seat.

In September 2000, two successful twice-weekly newspapers the Livingston County Press and the Brighton Argus – that had each been publishing in various forms for more than 100 years -  became one and we haven’t looked back.

The first edition of the Livingston County Daily Press & Argus hit the streets Sept. 7, 2000. Gannett purchased the newspaper in 2005 as part of the acquisition of Hometown Communications Inc. Now, nearly 10 years later, the Daily Press & Argus is successful and winning state awards for its local coverage. The Livingston Daily is the  only daily newspaper based in Livingston County.

As the area’s new leader, the Livingston Daily and livingstondaily.com deliver award-winning journalism in print, digital, social and video platforms.

If people are talking about it, Livingston Daily is writing about it.

The Livingston Daily is an integral part of Livingston County.  That is why we believe our role involves more than growing businesses and keeping the community informed. It involves continually working to make Livingston County a better place to live, work, raise a family and play.

The Livingston Daily values the partnerships that we have with nonprofit organizations in our community, and we work hard to help them in their efforts.
