Vernost was a volcanic planet and the only place in the galaxy where the "miracle liquid" Ceela was found.^[1] In 2 ABY,^[2] the Alliance to Restore the Republic and the Galactic Empire battled over the Ceela in the canyons of the planet.^[1]
