The title of this article is conjectural.

Although this article is based on canonical information, the actual name of this subject is pure conjecture.

An individual working as a marine biologist for the Galactic Empire was,[1] at some point after the New Republic's formation in 4 ABY,[2] in a bar on the planet Lazerian IV. While the marine biologist was there, a trader was attempting to speak to the other patrons in the bar about sea monsters he claimed to have seen—which were in actuality the sentient amphibious beings known as the Akwin—but was brushed off by most of those present.[1]

When the trader met a group of travelers who believed him, he showed them a holoimage of an Akwin, informing them that he took it near an island off the coast of the continent Laz. The marine biologist overheard the conversation, and—having believed the trader—set out to the island to investigate.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

The marine biologist was created by John Terra and introduced in Twin Stars of Kira, a 1993 supplement to West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[1]

  2. The New Essential Chronology dates the declaration of the New Republic to 4 ABY. As the New Republic is described as being an active faction in the galaxy during the adventure ideas for Lazerian IV in Twin Stars of Kira, they must occur after the New Republic's formation during or after 4 ABY.
