During the Cold War between the Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic, a young Jedi Knight stormed the Killik-infested Mensaav Military Laboratory on Alderaan in order to search for survivors of the previous attack. The Jedi Knight was surprised to discover the Jedi Master Orgus Din, the Jedi's former teacher, and a scientist named Parvux still alive, and the two Jedi fought off a renewed Killik attack led by their Praetor.
