During the Cold War, a battle betweeen between the forces of the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire occurred above the planet of Saleucami. The skirmish was the result of the interception of a Imperial infiltration squadron by a Republic starfighters squadron. The Republics were led by the notorious ace Pilot Nezhel "Sunspot" Othren who lost his life during the battle. The skirmish was resolved when Imperial members of the Empire's Fury squadron came to aid the squadron and destroyed the Republic attackers.

The battle above Saleucami appears as Saleucami Fleet Action, one of the Space Missions available in the MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic. Imperial players are called in to destroy a minimum of five Red Talon fighters and the single BT-7 Thunderclap. It is the Imperial counterpart of the Javaal Fleet Action.

The Old Republic—The Lost Suns 2 takes place ten years after the treaty, one week after the mission to Nar Shaddaa, and around the time of the SpecForce Incident. Since the mission and the incident are respectively part of Act I of the Jedi Knight and Republic Trooper's storylines, and the Trooper's Act I occurs concurrent to Act I of the Smuggler storyline, the general events of the Prologue and Act I for all classes can be assumed to occur in 3643 BBY.
