- Chio Fain and his partner Rone undertook a job which involved slicing into property of the Empire. The two slicers were caught, and Rone let TIE fighters catch up to her, which allowed Chio to escape into hyperspace.[15]
- Rone is killed by the Empire, which made Chio hold a hatred towards the Empire, and wanting to kill Darth Vader, the Emporer's enforcer.[15]
