Star Ghost Agency from Another World Web Novel Chapter 1-0

Author Note: This is a new web novel series I'll be starting. Here's the introductory chapter.

Since the Japan Self Defense Force is politically restricted on deploying their forces anywhere around the world, the

government secretly created a special ghost force that is mainly tasked to indirectly protect Japan from any secret

international threat. They are called the Star Ghost Agency.

My name is Naoko Matsuda. We've been following an unknown ghost cult and ended up discovering an unmarked port

warehouse that has been doing suspicious activities. I got temporarily assigned to lead a 8 man assault squad to raid and

investigate it. This is our raid operation.

Raid Mission
Unmarked Port Warehouse, Tokyo, Japan

"This is Star Echo 1, we are ready to raid the targeted warehouse. Over.", I said making contact to HQ.

"Observing from our inferred heat scanners, there are 4 cloaked hostiles equipped with the common Ak-47s."

"HQ has granted permission. You are clear to engage, Star Echo Squad. Good luck.", a female coordinator answered.

"Affirmative. We will now commence engagement" , I replied.

I quietly said weapons free to my squad and started the count down.

In.... 3.... 2..... 1....

We broke the door and I threw in a flashbang. After the effect, we charged in the warehouse and started firing.

But, one of the hostiles casts a magical shield spell.

"What? How did magic get here?!?", a squad mate shouted.

When we started to ran out of normal bullet round on suppressing fire against the magical shield, we slowly fell back and

took cover. The four hostiles started return fire.

But, fortunately, we came prepared. I commanded my squad to switch to anti-magic rounds.

After switching and reloading rounds, we began firing back and penetrated through their shield.

Three of the hostiles got down to the ground injured or dead.

Although, a hostile on the ground sneakily pressed a button in his pocket.

While the garage opens, another hostile got up from the ground and got in a small unibody truck. He then started driving

away for desperate escape.

I then commanded my squad to secure the warehouse and pointed at a squad mate to come with me. We got in another

small truck and took off.

"HQ, warehouse is secured. But, we are in pursuit of a fleeing hostile on the street", I said on my mic.

"Roger. I will send a stealth chopper for assist and block the Tokyo Police radar from detecting you", the female

coordinator responded.

After a few hours with the stealth chopper's help and my squad mate on the wheel, we chased the hostile all the way to a

neighborhood. Since it's late and there are no civilians walking around in this area, I took my scoped Type 89 rifle and did a

head shot on the hostile driver.

But, to my horror, a young female civilian is crossing the street and we couldn't spot her until now.

The truck then rams into her and crashed into a wall for a complete stop. During that moment, the girls' body flew like

rag doll. I quickly got out of the truck and scanned her face with my phone for HQ to identify.

Meanwhile, my squad mate went on guard.

"HQ, the target driver eliminated. But, we got one civilian casualty. Her face picture is sent now for identification.", I said

on my mic.

"Affirmative. Civilian is identified. Her name is Leiliani Hikaru and age 18. She is the daughter of Japan's Ambassador from

the embassy in Hawaii, United States. Also, he is aware of our existence and is one of our valuable assets", the female

coordinator replied.

"Roger. That is not good news at all. Link me up with Alpha Hawk", I responded.

"Link will be granted. One moment.", the female coordinator replied.

Afternoon Time

My name is Commander Fuba of the Star Ghost Agency. I'm just doing some boring paperwork in my office.

But, to my indirect excitement, a personnel knocked on my door.

"Permission granted." I said to him.

"Commander, we got bad news.", the male personnel went into attention.

"Come with me and brief.", I commanded.

While we quickly walked to the mission command area, the male personnel briefed me the entire situation.

Once we reached there, I told the female coordinator to give me the mic and get me private secured contact with the

Hawaiian Ambassador.

"Star Echo 1, this is Alpha Hawk. What is the status for the civilian girl?", I used the mic,

"This is Star Echo 1. She is barely alive and breathing", Captain Naoko replied.

"Roger. Do you think she can be fully recovered by healing magic or our medical technology?", I questioned.

"Negative. It seems HC will be our only method to save her.", the captain responded.

"Roger. Your new orders are to now retrieve the girl and complete your mission." I commanded.

"Affirmative." he replied.

I then gave the mic back to the coordinator and got in contact with the Hawaiian Ambassador through video chat.

"Ambassador, this is Commander Fuba of the Star Ghost Agency. I'm afraid that I have terrible news for you." I told him.

After briefing him the bad news, he asked if there is a way to save her.

I then told him a basic explanation on our experimental Project Half Cyborg.

Basically, Project Half Cyborg will transform a chosen candidate into a super enhanced combat operator for ghost missions.

Although, they're also designed to be not mind controlled or fully hacked because they are half cyborg after all.

"Okay, do it." he told me in a sad tone.

"But, there is a price. If we commence it on her, she will become a non-existent ghost and work for our agency." I quickly

informed him.

"That is fine as long as I know she is alive.", he replied to my warning.

Once our contact came to an end, I immediately went to computer screen and activated Project Half Cyborg.

This is a story of a half cyborg girl named Leilani Hikaru. Code Name: TYPE 89 of the Star Ghost Agency.
