First, install the Solid Central plugin on your site, then log in to your Solid Central Dashboard. From there you can add more sites. You’ll see uptime, response time, and any updates available for your sites. You have the option to run updates remotely for WordPress or any themes and plugins. Anything else you can do in the WordPress admin interface you can do to many sites all at once in Central. Integrations with Google Analytics and Search Console, Yoast SEO, as well as Solid Backups and Solid Security make Solid Central your headquarters for multi-site management.

Solid Central handles updates for the WordPress core platform and any plugins, themes, or extensions you’ve added installed in one or more WordPress sites that have been connected to Solid Central. Those sites can be updated remotely from Solid Central. For Solid products and other premium WordPress plugins and themes, you need to be sure to license or register them first so you can update them from Solid Central.

You can use Central on up to 100 sites, depending on which plan you have. Because we do have users with more than 100 sites, we encourage you to contact us.

All themes and plugins that have automatic updates available can be updated from Central. For Solid products and other premium WordPress plugins and themes, you’ll need to license or register them first so you can update them.

No. Only live client sites with the Solid Central plugin activated can connect to your account at Solid Central.

Yes. Solid Central uses industry-standard SSL technology to encrypt all communication between your Central dashboard and the client sites you connect to it. Only Central account holders and the users they add can access the Central dashboard once they log in. You can require two-factor authentication to be used to access the Central dashboard. 

You can choose to hide the Solid Central plugin from clients. This way, your clients or anyone else using their site with administrator privileges won’t be able to see the Solid Central plugin or deactivate and remove it.

Yes. Central gives you the option to add additional Central users to a site, but adding users will count against the total number of available Central sites. Also, even if you’ve been added as a user by someone else, any site managed from the Central dashboard is still a site you’re managing with Central. Therefore, it counts against your total number of available sites.
