Can't we download this? Could you please add an "adventure" mode where we can save our game?

Next version will be downloadable! also right now you can save the game using 'O' (there's a typo in the instructions)

  • Different music on different levels. good!
  • Decorative items do nothing.  Ehn.
  • Decorative items appear in large rooms with water floors (ie lamppost, stone well)  Weird.
  • Ghosts can move through walls (good!) but not decorative items (weird)

  • You are blatantly exploiting my nostalgia... successfully.
  • Game save is 'O' not 'X'
  • got attacked by a mongbat that was inside a wall, but I could attack it back.  I only noticed because I was taking damage near a wall, and turning around enough I could see one wing clip out.

Thank you for your feedback! We still haven't been able to nail down the monsters-walking-thru-walls bug. I'll take a l look again! :)

FYI I get errors trying to run this in Safari. Appears to be due to CORS issues.

[Error] Blocked a frame with origin "https://slash.itch.io" from accessing a frame with origin "https://html-classic.itch.zone". Protocols, domains, and ports must match. (x2)
[Error] Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 403 () (Vec.js, line 0)

Looks cool, though! Especially like that cover art.

Thank you Lone! The Vec,js error was ugly but harmless in theory, the other two I cannot see but might be due to some links in the page. The critical error seemed to be naively trying to decode an OGG which Safari only recently seems to be making some progress in support after 10 years or so of bitter fights :P.

This will be fixed in 1.4.1

Pretty solid Slashie. only ran into a couple of issues.
A couple of enemies inside walls which could still attack me but not be seen
Mouse sensitivity is quite high.
