Industry-leading SEO tools like Ahrefs and SEMRush cost over $100/month, which is barely affordable for a small business or a beginner blogger.
In that case, Mangools, a suite of SEO tools that costs way less might just be the solution you are looking for.
In this Mangools Review, we’re going to be testing this app in and out to ultimately help you decide whether it’s worth dropping your money on it or not!

What is Mangools?
Mangools is an online bundle of the following five SEO tools:
- KWFinder – Keyword Finder Tool
- SERPChecker – SERP (Search Engine Result Page) Analysis
- SERPWatcher – SERP Tracking
- LinkMiner – Backlink Analysis
- SiteProfiler – SEO Metrics & Insights
Apart from that, they have a browser extension and a couple of other free SEO tools.
Mangools Pricing
Pricing is one of the selling points of Mangools. Here’s what it costs:
If you pay monthly, it starts at $50/month, compared to just $30/month on annual billing. And the plans stretch to $79/month (annually). There is also a 10-day free trial.
Compare this to other tools like Ahrefs or SEMRush, and you’ll notice the difference. The only tools that come close to Mangools in terms of pricing are Ubersuggest and Spyfu.
Another great thing with the pricing is that you have access to almost all the features on all the plans… There’s no compromise on them, unlike SEMRush and Ahrefs.
Onboarding
If you want to start your 10-day free trial, you’ll have to sign up first.
After filling out your email and password, you’ll be offered a 10% discount on the plans if you buy within an hour.
To skip that, click on the ‘Continue to Dashboard’ link and this is where you’ll be taken:
Here, you can see links to all the five tools, blog posts, and learning materials. On the top, you have the billing settings, affiliate links, and account settings.
The onboarding process is quite simple and straightforward. There isn’t much to talk about it.
KWFinder
KWFinder is the most popular tool out of the Mangools suite. So, we’ll start with it first.
It’s a typical keyword research tool that helps you find low-competition keywords, analyze your competitors, and get keyword suggestions with a few clicks of buttons.
To use this tool, click on the button in your Mangools dashboard and you’ll come here:
On plopping in the keyword, choosing the location, language, and clicking on the ‘Find Keywords’ button, you’ll be presented with these keyword metrics:
- Search volume
- Trends
- CPC
- Keyword difficulty
On the right, there is the keyword difficulty (take this with a pinch of salt), search volume/trends graph along with SERP overview. If you’re a power user, there are also some neat little filters.
You can view related keywords, autocomplete suggestions, and questions, all in one place. The best part is that the keyword phrases aren’t just variations of the original keyword, which is an issue with most keyword research tools.
They are terms that could unlock and target related content ideas!
They reveal some really good opportunities. You can also save certain keywords to ‘Your List’ for coming back to them later, or export them to CSV for fancy data science or Google Sheets stuff.
On the other hand, when you search by domain, you get the keywords that a site ranks for along with some other data.
Apart from searching for keywords, you can upload them and get data. Nice!
LinkMiner
Link building is the next important part of SEO, and LinkMiner is a tool for helping with that. There isn’t much to say about this. It’s quite similar compared to other SEO tools.
To use this tool, you can click on the link in the navigation bar. Then, you have three modes for searching:
- All backlinks for a domain or URL
- New backlinks for a domain or URL
- Lost backlinks for a domain or URL
Upon searching for a domain, this is what you’ll see:
- Filters
- Table with backlinks
- Domain data
- Backlink preview
The data that you get with each backlink is:
- Citation flow
- Trust flow
- Number of external links from the page
- Number of Facebook shares
- Alexa rank
- Backlink HREF
- Anchor Text
- Link Strength (power of the backlink)
Apart from the preview tool, there isn’t a WOW factor to the app, but, functionality-wise, it gets the job done!
The ‘New Backlinks’ and ‘Deleted Backlinks’ features work the same way too.
SERPWatcher
As we told you before, this is Mangools’ rank tracking tool.
When you first open the tool, you can enter a domain and SERPWatcher will automatically suggest keywords to track, which is not how most SEO tools function.
On the tracking page, you can enter the data like the domain to track, location, search platform, and Google My Business Listing Name.
Next, the tool will show you suggested keyword rankings to track. Some of them are actually worth it, while others are just variations of the main keywords.
Or, you can enter your own keywords by importing from CSV, typing it manually, or adding from KWFinder (by using a list you made there).
That’s about it! Now, Mangools will start tracking your search engine rankings and you can check back in some time. It will also send you weekly reports every Monday to your registered email.
In the rank tracker itself, you can see your keywords, performance index, rank gainers, losers, estimated visits (for the tracked keywords), position flow, and position distribution.
We were a little disappointed that Mangools didn’t support additional search engines other than Google.
There isn’t much to say apart from the fact that the data representation is outstanding!
SiteProfiler
SiteProfiler is your average competitor analysis tool. You can enter a domain and it will show you essential data for it, like:
- Trust metrics (trust flow, citation flow, DA, PA)
- Alexa rank, Facebook shares, and referring IPs
- New and lost backlinks
- Total backlinks over time
- Link distribution and ratio (dofollow vs nofollow)
- Referring domains and backlink anchor text
- Top content
- Competitors
The data is sweet and digestible, but we really felt that it was too “backlink-oriented”. Most of the stats are related to either trust or domains. Also, the Site Profiler backlink results could be found in the Link Miner tool already.
We think that including things like:
- Top keywords
- Traffic history
- Organic vs paid traffic
- Advertising history
…could make this tool more helpful.
Except for the beautiful design and presentation, nothing impressed us much in this tool.
SERPChecker
SERPChecker helps you examine the SERP for any given keyword in a particular location.
You can enter a keyword, choose a location, and the platform (desktop or mobile). Wait for a few seconds, and you’ll see a couple of metrics along with a long table.
The metrics you get are as follows:
- Keyword difficulty
- SERP features impact
- Number of results
In the table, you can see the URLs, their metadata, and data like authority, trust flow, shares, links, etc…
The best part is that using the ‘Metrics Settings’ button, you can choose a ton of more data to show in the table.
Apart from the ‘Results’ tab, you can also view a live snapshot of the SERP by going to the ‘Snapshot’ tab.
How Does Mangools Compare To Other SEO Tools?
Mangools vs Ahrefs
If you’ve been thinking about whether or not Mangools is up to the task, or whether you need to invest in a premium SEO tool like Ahrefs, this part will help you decide.
Ease of Use: When it comes to ‘ease of use’, Mangools is way better than Ahrefs. Sure, the other SEO tool is also usable, but it isn’t as beautiful or intuitive as Mangools. That’s also because Ahrefs provides a lot more data than Mangools.
Functionality: Ahrefs definitely wins in this category. Mangools is a great tool and gets basic work done, but for anything serious, Ahrefs is your best bet. Not only do you get more data, but Ahrefs also has unique features like Content Explorer, Content Gap, Link Intersect, and more. Also, Ahrefs maintains its own database while Mangools retrieves data from Majestic.
Pricing: Mangools is way more affordable than Ahrefs. It’s less than half of what Ahrefs costs and its most expensive plan is close to what Ahrefs starts at.
Mangools vs Ubersuggest
Mangools and Ubersuggest are quite similar. In fact, they are the closest competitors to each other. They have a similar set of features, both are affordable, and both of them have a beautiful UI.
Ease of Use: Both SEO tools have a great UI. It’s beautiful, sleek, and easy to navigate. While Mangools’ design is more soothing, Ubersuggest is better to navigate and the tools are better linked together.
Functionality: Again, this category is a tie. In studies by Search Engine Land and Backlinko it was found that Mangools consistently produces reliable results when it comes to backlinks, compared to Ubersuggest.
On the other hand, Ubersuggest had a big lead in terms of their keyword tool.
There’s no single winner as no SEO tool is 100% accurate.
Pricing: Ubersuggest is cheaper than Mangools. The former starts at $29/month (monthly billing), whereas the latter starts at $49/month for monthly billing. The crazy part is that Ubersuggest also has a lifetime plan, which no other SEO tool offers.
Mangools Browser Extension
Mangools has a free-to-use browser extension that is linked to your account. You can also use the Chrome extension without an account, but you’ll get fewer features and data.
You can visit any webpage and click on the extension icon in the extensions bar and you’ll be able to see the following data:
- Domain authority, page authority, citation flow, trust flow, Alexa rank, referring IPs, social media platforms shares, and more…
- Top keywords
- Backlinks
- On-page SEO
- Rank tracking
On the SERP (when you search for something on Google), you can simulate your location, find related keywords, and SERP metrics.

Mangools has a fantastic support system. Not only are they fast, but also very friendly and to-the-point.
