Star Wars: Rebel Assault is a rail shooter video game. It was both published and developed by LucasArts.[1]

The game was released on November 25, 1993 for DOS, Sega CD, Macintosh, and 3DO Interactive Multiplayer.[2]

The game's setting is during the Galactic Civil War. In the game, the player plays as a character called Rookie One. The player goes through training and travels to different planets on mission. They destroy enemies who are invading and threatening planets such as Tatooine and Hoth. The end goal is to destroy the Death Star.[3]

A sequel titled Star Wars: Rebel Assault II: The Hidden Empire was released on November 24, 1995.[4]

Reception

The game recieved mixed reviews by game critics. Some critics said that they liked the graphics and some didn't. The sound and music was praised. Most critics pointed out the controls of the game as something they didn't like.[5][6][7]
