Recai Kutan

Mehmet Recai Kutan (5 April 1930 – 7 October 2024) was a Turkish politician. He was the leader of the Felicity Party (SP) from 2001 to 2003 and again from 2006 to 2008. He was also the leader of the Virtue Party from 1997 to 2001. Kutan was born in Darende, Turkey.

Kutan was the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources from 1996 to 1997. Before, he was the Minister of Construction and Settlement from 1977 to 1978.

Kutan died on 7 October 2024 from problems caused by a respiratory tract infection at a hospital in Ankara, Turkey at the age of 94.[1]
