Grand Hotel (movie)

Grand Hotel is a 1932 American drama movie directed by Edmund Goulding and based on the 1929 novel Menschen im Hotel by Vicki Baum and the 1930 play by William A. Drake. It stars Greta Garbo, Joan Crawford, John Barrymore, Lionel Barrymore, Wallace Berry, Lewis Stone, Jean Hersholt, Tully Marshall and was distributed by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. It won an Academy Award in 1932 and was remade as Week-End at the Waldorf in 1945.
