Avatar: Fire and Ash is an upcoming science fiction movie directed by James Cameron and written by Cameron, Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver. It is a sequel to Avatar (2009) and Avatar: The Way of Water (2022) and the third movie in the Avatar franchise. On a budget of more than $250 million, it is one of the most expensive movies ever made, like the other two Avatar movies. The movie will be released on December 19, 2025. Two more Avatar movies, Avatar 4 and 5, will be released in 2029 and 2031, respectively.
