Thank you for visiting my website! Here are some accessibility notes that may be helpful for you to know before you look around. (Semi-related -- Here's a separate page for No Follow 「game」 accessibility.)

Animation

This site contains pages with many small animated gifs, such as site buttons and blinkies. Most are paused on load.

  • Splash & My Art & Blawwwg & Reviews & Neopets Shrine & Link Me & Accessibility & Sources & Sitemap: If your browser/device is set to reduced motion, the animated GIFs are replaced with PNGs, and CSS rotation animations are removed.
  • Animated GIFs on Other Pages & Old Reviews Pages & Old Art Page: So long as you've got JavaScript enabled, GIFs will load as paused, then you can pick if you want to play 'em. Made possible with freezeframe.js with major inspiration from this great tutorial by Bechnokid on Neocities with a bunch of my own tweaks. (Planned: Because of Freezeframe's MANY quirks and constraints, will later change to use prefers-reduced-motion like pages in the prev bullet.)
  • Animated Backgrounds: Some on the Jotaro shrine only. Freezeframe doesn't play nice with this one, so using prefers-reduced-motion instead: if your browser/device is set to reduced motion, the GIF backgrounds are replaced with PNGs.

This site is responsive! Please enjoy on any device, any zoom.

Image Compression

PNG and JPEG files are compressed with TinyPNG. Gotta load fast!

Semantic HTML

This site uses semantic HTML. Many pages are also available in reader mode as a result.

  • Planned: Tables on the Reviews pages may be quirky in some browser's reader modes. To be improved.

Text

This site uses the font Atkinson Hyperlegible by Braille Institute, providing "greater legibility and readability for low vision readers." It's a thoughtful font design and also very cute :-P

  • Planned: Improve color contrast and use em/rem for text. This is complete on any of the redesigned pages noted in the first bullet of the Animation section. Other pages in progress but in the meantime are available in your browser's reader mode if difficult to read.

Alt Text

Most of the images have alt text describing the graphic. Still working on this!
