MEMORIA: RPG Maker RTP Remake

In its current form, this project contains a limited, but sizeable quantity of character sets in an original style inspired by JRPG classics such as FINAL FANTASY, OCTOPATH TRAVELER and Romancing SaGa.

My original aim was to eventually recreate every single RTP character - from Actor to Monster to NPC to Animal - in a unique, cohesive style, that functioned both as Map and Battle Sprites. I lost a great part of my progress due to an issue with file storage, which made me consider just releasing it as-is as a safety net while I work on finishing it. Given the enormous scale of this task, this is a project that will take time to finish.

Currently it contains mostly RPG Maker MZ sprites. Given its unfinished nature, this is NOT plug and play; for most characters, that is. There are some that are ready to use. The great majority of them is either missing a few poses or needing to be animated entirely - that is the case with the entirety of the VX Ace cast, for instance, which was sprited but not animated. 

As such, there are two downloads: The PNG folder contains spritesheets, many of which are unfinished. The GAL folder contains majority of the content, in the form of GraphicsGale files, which contain layer information: Useful in case you either want to edit them or finish them yourself for your own project.

The artwork contained in this pack is my original creation, depicting pre-existing characters from the RPG MAKER series. Do not claim authorship of these sprites. Do not redistribute unless permission is granted. 

In addition, RPG MAKER series characters require that you own their respective RPG MAKER product, and you must follow said RTP's license strictly, as with any free resource based on RPG MAKER series IP.
