Edward James Basl, 94, of Midlothian, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2023.
He is survived by his loving children, David Basl (Vivian), Cheryl Pinkleton (Scott) and Carol Stanfield (Stephen); grandchildren, Daniel Guerrera, Angela Guerrera, Zane Pinkleton (Kara), Aspen Young (Josh) and Anja Pinkleton; great-grandchildren Micah Marez, Iyla Vega Guerrera and Nora Pinkleton; and sister, Jane (Basl) Carollo of Schererville, IN. He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Phyllis, in 2022.
After graduating from Manchester High School, Class of '48, Ed served in the United States Navy. He went on to a long career as a construction superintendent with Taylor and Parrish. In his spare time, Ed enjoyed collecting antiques, especially tools, and restoring and showing antique cars with the Richmond Region AACA.
