The Jizo Statue Arc is the 95th story arc covered in the Ranma ½ manga, spanning two chapters. This story was included in Volume 33 of the Weekly Shōnen Sunday tankōbon and volume 31 of the Viz Media tankōbon.
Plot Summary[]
Mousse has been spending all his free time knitting a scarf for Shampoo. When Shampoo doesn't accept his gift, Mousse instead wraps the scarf around a Jizo statue to keep it warm. The statue then takes the form of Shampoo to repay him. Others notice that Mousse had been getting more tired recently. They think that it must be the Jizo's doing and attempt to keep Mousse away from it[1]. Despite tying him up and putting him in a cage, Mousse still manages to escape to go on a date with the statue, thinking it is the real Shampoo. The matter is only resolved when Shampoo gets her own scarf and gives it to Mousse, prompting Jizo to return to its shrine. They later discover that Mousse had been too tired from working and going on dates, and that the Jizo statue had very little to do with his weariness[2].
