Prize of $500 and one year membership of the Australian Queer Archives
Since 1999 the Australian Queer Archives has offered a prize for the best fourth year thesis (honours or equivalent of about 10,000 words) submitted at an Australian university in the field of LGBTIQ studies.
The thesis may be in any discipline and must have as its major concern some aspect of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, intersex and/or queer experience, contemporary or historical, in Australia. Once submitted, theses become part of our collection.
You can find out more here: https://queerarchives.org.au/thesis-prize
Work submitted at an overseas university that meets this criteria will be accepted for consideration.
Please email your submission to [email protected] with the subject ‘Thesis Prize’.
The submission date is 12 September 2024 and will consider theses completed in the last two years (2022–2023). Late submissions may be accepted by arrangement (see contact details below). Theses will be retained by the Archives and will become part of its collection. Winners will be notified of the outcome late in 2024.
