Dr. Stuart Shapiro

Dr. Stuart Shapiro is the Dean of the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy. He joined Rutgers University in 2003 and directed the Public Policy Program from 2010-2017. Prior to arriving at Rutgers, he received a PhD in Public Policy from Harvard and worked at the Office of Management and Budget under Presidents Clinton and George W. Bush. He is a nationally recognized scholar in the area of regulatory policy and has written three books and published numerous articles in law reviews and journals of political science, public administration, public policy, and other fields. He writes op-eds for The Hill and occasionally other news sites and has been quoted in the popular press extensively.
