Great art style, and the story is really fun to see come together as you go through. The controls feel a bit too... tight? If that makes sense, like you don't have much room to aim yourself when you jump. It makes platforming A Teeny Bit Frustrating.
THIS. THIS MF right on the top left platform (stage 3). I wait, and wait, and wait for him to turn around, but even when his back is facing me, he turns in split second and our inky friend is dead. Wait, go for it, wash rinse repeat. It's not fun. The timing is a bit too small a window I feel. ;-;
This is a fantastic game. Mechanically, really interesting. Love the goopy character, and all its animations and abilities. It hits a great balance between familiar and new. The range of creative things you can do with the character's moveset just within these first levels is so, so cool. The art and the world is amazing as well. It has a great look, and the glimpses to the larger story we get are intriguing and interesting. Love that the focus is on movement and stealth, rather than combat.I hope you're able to find a way to take this game further, because it's awesome!
Really cool game! I liked the mechanics and puzzles, hope we´ll get more stages in the future. I´m also quite interested in the story the game is set on.

Publishing the game independently on Steam sounds good, and I really appreciate your support in considering it. While I take on a lot of tasks myself besides coding, like design, animation, art direction, management, story etc, I still rely on the support of my wonderful friends. Unfortunately, hiring a full-time programmer isn't something I can afford right now, but having at least one full-time programmer is crucial to finish this project. I greatly admire all brilliant solo gamedevs.

it took me a bit to realize that to stop the possesion you need to hold down E for longer. I might've overlooked the controls when it was introduced, though.

As far as I can see on itch.io we have it set up to make the game free even as you download it. There should be no suggestion of payment. I can change it to $0 or pay what you want - then only there could be such suggestions.

If I were to describe this to a random person I would probably say "You play as the Lorax but you can possess people". Great game, the concept and the art are both awesome. Can't wait to see more of it!
Only issue I found was in stage 3, on the right side portion of the two switches you have to flip to progress. In the area with the red guard and two purple guards (the one with the door you have to open), if you possess the red guard and kill BOTH the purple guards, you get softlocked (or almost softlocked, with insane reflexes it's probably possible) on your way back when you have to pass through the area you can't avoid the detection of the red guard, and you can't run or hide either.
I know which place you are referring to. I predicted this accident - that's why the patrolling "red guard" is long downturned. All you have to do then is to walk towards him (when we walk we do not make alarming sounds of ourselves).
There is a bug that I am in the vent state outside of the vent so I can float around, I take control of an enemy and made him go into the mine, he died and I came out in the normal state. Weird but interesting bug thou.
It would probably be useful to have a button for reloading to the last checkpoint...especially while this is in prototype, because I accidentally glitched through the floor and could no longer die
Sorry! You're right and we have this option! In the pause menu (esc) there is "restart" option. It should let you start from the last reached checkpoint. :)

Yes I agree. I owe perhaps some explanation. In prototype we wanted to get as close as possible to such Prince of Persia classics and see how it would play for people nowadays. It has its retro charm but doesn't match up to the style and semi-fluidity of the character.
In the full version we plan to make a modern controller for the main character and leave the classic ones for the possessed creatures.

people struggling on mac:
- open package contents, open MacOS file, there should be a single paper file
- open your terminal application
- type "chmod 755" followed by a space in terminal
- drag MacOS paper file into terminal and hit enter
- the paper file should change in appearance and it should work :)

Sorry to hear that, do you mean desktop version or web? If web, please try different browser. In some cases this fixes the issue.
i was using browser. i found a way to sort of fix it though. just press esc and click on something then start typing (Ex. comments)

I don't like the fixed jump arch
you mean jumping up to the ledge?
I mean the fact that jumping forwards is always the same angle and general distance. I like games with more control in the air
