Background:
The following feature request is based on this recommendation to create a phabricator task.
Feature summary:
I would like to set a filter on New Pages or New Pages Feed and/or have a Special Page that would allow me to see articles that are missing a corresponding talk page.
For example, in the New Pages Feed you can filter for articles that "have no categories" or "may be orphaned." It would be good to see the articles with no talk page.
Use case(s):
The underlying issue is that it is difficult to calculate the number of articles missing a talk page. The articles missing a talk page are articles that are not associated with WikiProjects. There is a backlog of articles waiting to be reviewed/patrolled.
Benefits:
It will create a list of articles that can be quickly sorted into WikiProjects using Rater. Once associated with WikiProjects, subject matter experts or interested parties affiliated with the WikiProject, are more likely to visit the page, evaluate the article, and potentially review/patrol the article. This will hopefully reduce the number of vandalism, duplicate, low-quality articles.
Additional Components:
It would also be good to be able to see disambiguation pages and redirects that are missing a talk page. Possibly an advance feature would be to find Talk pages missing WikiProjects.
