Simon Cowell

Simon Cowell is an English television personality and music industry executive. He is best known for serving as a judge on several television talent competition shows, including Pop Idol (2001-2003), American Idol (2002-2010), The X Factor UK (2004-2010, 2014-2018), Britain's Got Talent (2007-present), The X Factor US (2011-2013) and America's Got Talent (2016-present). Cowell became known for his strong and sometimes controversial criticism of contestants. Cowell has been involved in the creation or promotion and management of music artists like One Direction, Little Mix, Fifth Harmony, Westlife, Il Divo, Leona Lewis and Susan Boyle through his company Syco Productions. Cowell also appeared in the 2003 movie Scary Movie 3 and has voiced characters on the television series The Simpsons and Family Guy.
