From the depth of all that perishes, I sing of love *
Greetings, traveller. Amidst all the stars and debris in the vastness of digital space drifts oubliette.nu, a space station serving as my web residence since about 2011, under this name or another. As the heart of The Wither and Bloom Network, it harbours a variety of things dearest to me, from impressions that have shaped me to interests that move me, all of which converges in so-called shrines: homegrown fansites that are relics of a different time, offering nigh unparalleled creative freedom in the cyberscape of today.
The miniature gardens I have grown over the years are spaces wherein undying devotion and passion are distilled by way of analysis and interpretation, and take shape in the coalescence of language, design, code and poetry. Dedicated to fictional subjects mostly belonging to the domain of manga or video games, these shrines largely consist of expository texts and interpretive essays with a distinct touch of the personal â the familiar arranged into something novel. They are an effort to make the fleeting eternal, snapshots of my feelings and my self preserved in digital time capsules.
You are cordially invited to step through any portal of your choosing. If you are eager to discover more shrines by other creative minds, perhaps consider a detour to Emotion, a directory of shrines preluded by my introductory text âWhat are shrines?â â Whatever landscape you find yourself in, may the love and joy preserved therein reach you. If you feel so inclined, any message sent through the folds of space and time by way of my guestbook is warmly appreciated.
Bon voyage! ❤
