Sword of Thunder, Raizan
The Raizan (雷斬刀, lit. Thunder Slash Blade) is the lightning-elemental katana that is coupled with the Thunder Orb: Shiden from the Onimusha: Warlords. The first weapon Samanosuke receives, Raizan's magic enables it to perform a series of lightning charged slashes on a single opponent, culminating in an overhead slash that summons a massive lightning bolt down onto the enemy. In Onimusha 3: Demon Siege Samanosuke begins with this weapon but loses it upon traveling to the future, but it is possible to reobtain it by obtaining its respective orb in the Dark Realm. It should not be confused with the weapon of similar name of Jacques Blanc, spelled "Raisen". The weapon has also appeared in Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams, where it increased the user's attack power, Oni Magic, and max MP as it leveled up.
