YESSS! Oh... Yeassssss!!!
Cool! It reminds me a lot of Hydro Thunder. Testing the DEMO. Thanks!
A great retro racing game :) Reminds me a lot “Rapid Racer” for the PS1 !
Reminds me a lot of the old arcade game H2Overdrive
Hey, uhh, is there going to be updates anytime soon
I wouldn't say "soon".... But still working on it, even if I've gotten a bit sidetracked. Trying to figure out what direction I'm taking visually and experimenting with different takes on water physics and boat 'behaviour'
The visual direction seems actually fine in my opinion
Really great retro racing game! This game is in my Top 5 of this Week!
You may take a look!
Thank you so much for making this, I loved it! Do you remember these big Arcade machines with boats, kayaks etc? :3 back in the 90s. Dear god good times! Anyways here is my gameplay if you want too see
Thanks for the video, that was very entertaining to watch. Apparently there's a bug with the Arcade mode camera, it's supposed to stop spinning once the race starts at the start/finish line. Pro tips: let go of the throttle/use brakes to turn better in curves, and you can also change boat colours with up/down in the selection screen if you want the pink one!
Hey, I found a bug, or something. When entering arcade mode, the camera spins around your boat even after the rolling start.
Alright, did you change viewing modes before the race start? Like going to first person mode and back to third person?
It worked. You are from FRACTiLE Games, right? Just wondering, since the reddit post that led me here claimed so.
Uhh no, I'm not. Can you link the post?Nevermind, I checked it out.I'm not with Fractile games, they just linked my game on there because we're from the same country.
You from FRACTiLE Games, right? By the way, this game is awesome! :D
Awesome game! Looks like N64 and ps1 games.
Thanks for the video! Good to see even the "novice" level gives some challenge... it's hard to balance the difficulty on your own game.
Really? I think it's super well balanced.
Hey looks awesome! Can you please tick the (windows) platform check box in the uploads section so that the itch.io installer can see it? (Weird request I know.)Thanks in advance!
Oh yeah, forgot to check that one, thanks. It's fixed now.
Really fun little game, love the classic style. I've never really played any water racing games so it took me a lap to get a hang of the controls and when to steer (sorry, was lazy so used keyboard) but the game feels very responsive when you do get the hang of it.
Will it have splitscreen multiplayer? I'd love to play this on the couch with 3 friends, seeing as it has controller support it'd be perfect for my Steam Link.
Thanks for playing! Splitscreen is something I'm planning to do, once I get the base game features ready. I'll be refining the controls as well, right now the boats act more like cars anyway...
Awesome, thanks for the quick reply! I went into this just trying to control the boats like a car, but you need to start steering much earlier than a car, so I think the controls actually kind of feel like what I think a boat would steer like. Very slidey, hard to make sharp turns without slowing down, that might sound like bad things but that's just kind of what I expect from a boat.
Anyway, great demo, can't wait to see more!
