If you’re like us, you’ve probably wondered what everyday stuff famous people add to their carts — like hair spray or an electric toothbrush. We asked Campbell “Pookie” Puckett, the internet personality and soon-to-be mom who recently partnered with Bio-Oil for its “Labor of Love” campaign, about the eye drops she keeps in her purse, the ice maker that makes Sonic-esque ice, and her go-to lip gloss.
I have blue eyes, and I feel like they’re very sensitive to the sun or allergies. They get red pretty often, so these are a game changer. I always keep them in my purse. When you put them on, your eyes will pop. They run out too fast, though. They need to get some bigger bottles — or maybe I use them too much. I always do it after I do my makeup and then as needed.
Blush is a beauty product that I’ve been embracing more of, especially with my melasma. I feel like it just adds an extra something and kind of masks the melasma without adding too much coverage. I love the Armani. I do my cheeks, my nose. I’ll even add a little bit to my lips before I put lip gloss on and it kind of just ties the whole look together.
I always have a gloss on. You’ll rarely see me without glossy lips. I love to keep my lips juicy and moisturized, so this is one of my favorite products. I keep it in the Rhode phone case. I’ve never really been a matte girl — I’ve always been glossy.
[Editor’s note: Puckett wears the Peach Pit flavor, which is currently unavailable, so we linked to some available options instead.]
I’m a sweatpants girl, and I kind of rotate out my pairs — but I particularly like how loose and comfortable these are. I haven’t really done much maternitywear, but I’ve just been getting a bigger size. I like the wide leg on these, and they’re obviously super-comfy. They’re just the good sweatpants that you can trust. I have multiple colors, but the grey are my favorite. It’s a really good travel outfit, too, with a matching white or gray tee.
I love a good Skims tee. They have different lengths, so depending on how much of your stomach you want to show, you can do one that’s more cropped, or one that covers more. They’re just very comfy on the skin. It’s cloudlike.
I definitely always have a Stanley with me. My doctor is always telling me to make sure I drink enough water, and they say, “If you think you’ve drank enough, you haven’t.” Especially in the heat, I always have a big Stanley filled with ice.
The ice this makes is like the Chick-fil-A or Sonic ice. I’ll put the ice in my Stanley, and I also use it for my mocktails and iced coffee. It’s just a little added luxury — it makes it fancy, even though it’s not. While I’ve been pregnant, it’s the little things that make me happy, and the nugget ice is definitely a little thing that goes a long way.
I have so many matching pajama sets, but I especially like this pair from Free People. They’re silky, and they have different patterns, like this rodeo theme. They’re so oversize and comfy. They don’t stick to your body, and they’re very flowy. They look luxurious, and they’re not tight on my bump. They have a drawstring, and they have a similar wide leg to my sweatpants. You just feel so good when you wear them. I have a couple pairs, and I wear them at least a couple nights a week.
I love a toast with almond butter and bananas and honey. I usually get the almond butter from Trader Joe’s. It has some texture to it — I wouldn’t say chunky, but it has some texture. I used to drink almond milk, too, and now I mainly just drink dairy, like whole milk or two percent — but the almond butter with the banana is still so good.
Bio Oil did a “Labor of Love” campaign this fall, and it really spoke to me because I’ve gotten close to my labor and delivery staff and the nurses at the hospital since having to go in more regularly. I’m just so grateful for their expertise and care, and being able to partner with Bio Oil on the initiative was amazing. I’m actually prone to stretch marks, and so I’ve been using Bio Oil for the last few years. I have them on the side of my thighs, so it was a perfect fit to add Bio Oil into my pregnancy journey. I have my little nighttime routine where I lather it up all over the bump, the boobs, my lower back, and sides. My skin tends to get dry and itchy as it’s stretching, so the oil feels really good after a shower.
