Adm. Samuel J. Paparo, Commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet, visit and guest lecture, providing  unique chance to interact with a distinguished military leader. Uniform of the day for Students is Khakis or service equivalent as per the Student Handbook.
 
The SGL will include remarks by the speaker followed by audience Q&A.
 
Speaker Background:
Admiral Paparo, a Villanova University graduate, was commissioned in 1987. He has a Master of Arts in International Studies from Old Dominion University and a Master of Science in Systems Analysis from the Naval Postgraduate School.
 
As a U.S. Naval Aviator and TOPGUN graduate, he has flown over 6,000 hours in various aircraft and completed 1,100 carrier landings. His command tours include leading Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 195 in Japan, Carrier Air Wing 7, Carrier Strike Group Ten, and the Provincial Reconstruction Team in Nuristan, Afghanistan. He has served as Battle Director in Qatar and held significant roles on the Chief of Naval Operations staff. Most recently, Admiral Paparo served as Commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet from May 2021 to April 2024.
 
In May 2024, he assumed duties as Commander, U.S. Indo-Pacific Command, the nation's oldest and largest combatant command. INDOPACOM includes 380,000 Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, Airmen, Guardians, Coast Guardsmen, and Department of Defense civilians, and responsibility for all U.S. military activities in the Indo-Pacific, which covers six nations, 14 time zones, and 60 percent of the world's population.
