Super Star Wars is a 2-D side scroller game released to the SNES, based on the popular Star Wars series. It was licensed by LucasArts. It is based on the core story of Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, and stars Luke Skywalker as he sets out to become a Jedi and save Princess Leia from the evil Galactic Empire and Defeat his father Darth Vader Luke is assisted by R3-D2, C-3PO, Chewbacca, Han Solo, and Princess Leia.

The game was later re-released on the Wii Virtual Console in North America on August 10, 2009.

Sequels

Two sequels were created: Super Empire Strikes Back and Super Return of the Jedi. Both were released to the SNES and later re-released on the Wii Virtual Console in North America on August 24, 2009 and September 7, 2009 respectively.
